Explore your true, spiritual nature?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>I knew very little about it and I was curious to know what yoga was<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-367\" src=\"https:\/\/12yogamalibu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/scattergood-244x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"310\" height=\"382\" \/>How about now: does yoga feed your mind or your body or your spirit more, or are those elements more in balance than when you started?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>body originally, spirit more recently \u2014 I love the peacefulness<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>How long have you been practicing yoga?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>since I was pregnant with my daughter, now in her 40s! \u2014 she\u2019s much better at yoga than I<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>How frequently do you practice yoga?<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>2-3 times per week<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For you, what are the benefits of classes at a studio vs practicing yoga at home?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>I love my yoga class for the direction and encouragement<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Do you have a preferred yoga style?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>not really, but the gentler the better<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>When you were starting out, what came easiest and what was more challenging?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>getting the posture and holding it \u2014 but I still have trouble blocking out distractions<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>What have been the greatest benefits of yoga for you?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>less body pain, greater flexibility<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Apart from yoga, do you practice other techniques of mindfulness or meditation?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>a friend recently told me about walking meditation and we do it together<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Do you regularly do other forms of exercise?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>I walk a lot and love my water aerobics classes<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Outside of a yoga session, do you ever just strike a pose and stretch? If so, which pose(s) and where?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>absolutely! \u2014 mostly stretches at my kitchen counter, but I\u2019ve been known to strike a tree pose almost anywhere<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>You have a choice: take a yoga class (1) outdoors on a beautiful day, overlooking the ocean, or (2) in a well-designed, very comfortable minimalist indoor space.
